Not-Quite and Completely Beautiful Things

1. Unintentionally commemorating the six-year anniversary of The Big Auto Accident (starring an unforgivably drunk, inane driver) - with yet another car accident on nearly the exact same day. (The latest one starring the hearing and vision-impaired woman who will later be ticketed by an officer, apologize profusely, blow smoke clouds into my face and confess that she really needs new glasses.)

2. Post-Car Collision -- the man in the convenience store who simply doesn't understand why I am laughing -- isn't that my car over there that was just in an accident?

3. At the hospital ... The technician who maneuvers me into position, brushes the hair away from my face and says, "There -- that's pretty," then proceeds to take another x-ray.

Ah, yes. It is yet another Friday at a hospital.

Tis beautiful to now be a distance from those walls.
